Aarsleff to construct workshop and storage facilities in Thule

Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into a contract for the construction of new workshop and storage facilities at Thule Air Base in Greenland.

The contract has a value of DKK 190 million, and the air base's fleet of vehicles and machinery is to be serviced and maintained in the 4,900-square metre-large facilities.

The contract is entered with the American government, US Air Force, and the project is part of the US Armed Forces’ overall modernisation plan for Thule Air Base.

Aarsleff carries out the contract as a turnkey contract, thus responsible for the design and construction of the facilities, whereas the mechanical and technical installations are carried out by Aarsleff’s subsidiary Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S.

Work activities start now and will be completed in mid-2016.

The contract does not affect Aarsleff's earnings expectations for the financial year 2013/2014.
