Aarsleff takes over two Swedish piling contractors

Aarsleff has strengthened its position on the Swedish piling market by acquiring the companies Kran & Pålnings AB and Europile Pålteknik AB, both located in Gothenburg.

Since 2004, Aarsleff has been active as a specialised contractor on the piling market with precast concrete piles and sheet piling for construction pits etc. through its subsidiaries Aarsleff Grundläggnings AB and Centrum Påle AB in Gothenburg.

With the acquisition of Kran & Pålning and Europile, Aarsleff will double its capacity within production of precast concrete piles and execution of piling work in Sweden.

In the most recently published financial statements, Kran & Pålning reported revenue of SEK 100 million while Europile’s revenue was SEK 56 million. In total, the two companies have 53 employees.

Aarsleff has similar activities in Denmark, England, Germany and Poland and is working towards increasing the synergies.  

Due to conversion of productions, the earnings impact of the said acquisitions will not be included until the next financial year, starting 1 October 2011.
