Site development in Copenhagen
At the Marble Pier in Copenhagen, Aarsleff has carried out site development work and new quay structures. The Marble Pier is an old free port area which in the period leading up to 2016 will be transformed into two islands with housing areas, commercial areas, a hotel as well as the new UN headquarters for Northern Europe. Our work comprised installation of 1,100 running metres of sheet piles of lengths up to 16 metres, pumping-in of 35,000 cubic metres of sand and handling of 30,000 cubic metres of slightly contaminated soil.
