Upgrading of wind farm

For the client Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S, Per Aarsleff A/S has carried out the construction and piling work for the upgrading of an existing wind farm in northern Denmark. With its 22 new 3.2-MW turbines, Klim Wind Farm is one of Denmark's largest wind farms on land and supplies energy to 64,000 households annually. The project included removal of the existing 35 wind turbine foundations and installation of around 2,300 special piles measuring 40x40 centimetres and in lengths of 8 to 43 metres.
