Motorway bridges in Holbæk

Before the construction of the expressway from Holbæk to Vig on West Sealand, Aarsleff constructed two bridges – a two-span bridge and a three-span bridge with prestressed reinforcement. Both bridges are approx. 80 metres long and nearly 20 metres wide. The biggest challenge of the project was the location of the bridges, as the subsoil was very soft and wet. The two-span bridge crosses a protected marsh with narrow access conditions, and the three-span bridge crosses a canal in which the flow was to be maintained during the construction period.
